Casco Bay YMCA Stripers
The date of the team banquet has been changed to April 6th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Pineland
DO YOU LIKE TO HAVE FUN? The philosophy of the Casco Bay Regional YMCA's swim team revolves around the core values of the YMCA: Respect, Honesty, Caring, and Responsibility.
Competitive swimming enables students to learn valuable life long skills, such as a strong work ethic, team work, healthy eating habits and the importance of regular exercise, to name a few. The best part is, you will have lots of fun while doing it!
Everybody Swims. Everybody Wins!
DO YOU LIKE TO SWIM? Are you able to swim 25 yards, the length of our large pool? If you can, you should come join the fun! There are no minimum practice requirements, so you can make this experience best fit your interest and needs. The practice groups are based on age, as well as ability, and placement is up to the discretion of the head coach.

Meets
Over the course of the summer program there will be about 2 optional fun meets with other area swim teams. Usually one at home on a week night and one at the Waterville outdoor pool on a Saturday morning, which they open the water slides after!
When these meets are finalized the information will be posted on our bulletin board here at the YMCA.
For those wanting more swim meets we also offer USA Swimming. We usually swim 2 meets at the outdoor 50 meter pool in Dover, NH in June. We also attend the Swim your own age meet in Westbrook July 12-13. The championship meet is held July 23-26 in St. John, NB Canada! More information can be found on the Maine Swimming link on the related links page.
We may attend other meets at the coach’s discretion.
Because of the rules that govern the meets in Dover, NH entries are due in April. The coach will attempt late entries as long as it does not jeopardize participation in the meet.
